Branding begins with ideation. Through research and evaluation, we identified these phrases as encapsulating of our brand's concept and used them to guide further exploration.
For the social media campaign, I chose to adopt an tastefully unrefined approach to product photography, using well-worn phones and unpolished gear to reflect the realities of how the working artists plays and records.
The photographic approach of the campaign revolves around tight framing and angles, chosen to evoke the point-of-view of the musician at play.
Custom presets make it easy for users to sculpt their sound. I designed custom iconography to give each vibe a unique feel.
Scratchtrack is a personal project of my close friend Justin Renninger. It is designed to provide bands with a better way of organizing and sharing demos, and contributing to the songwriting process. I took on this speculative rebranding because the project took on a strong personal interest to me, both as a designer and as a musician who uses it. Download the app here.
